Effective and reliable law enforcement equipment for today's motor officer

Officer James Geer - City of Bell

Officer James Geer rides motors for the City of Bell PD under Chief Michael Trevis, located in central Los Angeles County. Walking the halls of the PD is like walking through a police history museum with exhibits displaying police equipment from the past, and numerous historical photographs that include motor squadron shots from the early 1900's.

Officer Geer has been with the Department for 14 years and on motors for the last 11 years. He recently changed over to a new Harley Road King and says he loves this bike for it's low center of gravity, comfort, and visual appeal. The Officer notes that the bike is a great conversation piece, making for more positive interaction with the community. He's also been working with PVP Equipment for the last 4 years and says, "I highly recommend this company. Their products and customer support have been outstanding".

One of his more memorable traffic stops includes being surprised, while running radar, by a "member of society" exposing himself in the direction of the Officer. "I'm a pretty easy-going kind of guy, but after taking a few seconds to absorb that one, I decided to follow up on it", he said.

Officer Geer is a very likeable guy with a genuine concern for people, but he readily admits, "I take my job pretty seriously. I'd cite my own kid". In his spare time he enjoys mountain biking and playing the bagpipes, but says he's happiest just being around his family and working in his garage.
