| This Mobile Radio Interface System is designed to accommodate officers who only use their Helmet Communications with their Mobile Motorcycle Radio, and do not require helmet communications when away from their motor.
The System allows standard operation of the existing Mobile Radio handmic and speaker, but additionally allows the officer transmit and receive capability from the helmet when the officer mates the pigtail connections shown. Mobile Radio transmissions with the Helmet microphone are activated by means of a Push-To-Talk (PTT) switch at the motorcycle handlebars. By pressing a second handlebar PTT button the motorcycle siren will be activated as a Public Address (PA) System, and the Officer can then broadcast from the helmet microphone to direct traffic, etc. without removing his hands from the handlebar.
The System includes a Shoei 3/4 Coverage Police Helmet with pre-installed Communications, Motorcycle Radio and Siren Interface Kit with adjustable helmet microphone volume, and handlebar controls.
