| This Speakermic, designed specifically for the Motor Officer, replaces the breakaway cable between helmet and portable radio adaptor. When attached to the portable radio, this unit functions as a standard Speakermic, but with "breakaway" capability. Simply plug your helmet into the built-in mating jack in the speaker housing, and radio communications show up in your helmet! Includes a Hi-Lo speaker volume switch for discrete operation.
Cellular Phone Interface Option
Last but not least this device is also available with an optional cell phone interface jack. For cell phone operation just flip the mode switch when you hear your phone ring and you'll be taking your cell call in your helmet! While on the cell call, radio traffic will be automatically routed to the speaker on the shouldermic for continued monitoring, The walkman/MP3/CD Player cord operates in a similar fashion. Just flip the mode switch to discretely listen to your favorite music while radio traffic is automatically routed to the speaker on the shouldermic for continued monitoring.
When relevant radio traffic appears at the shouldermic simply flip the mode switch back to mute the walkman/MP3/CD Player, or to put the cell phone on hold, and you are back to taking radio calls in your helmet. Very Cool!
